Ishrat Akhther, the symbol of determination and tenacity, is a wonder on wheel chair from the paradise on Earth, Kashmir. She was here, to interact with the students of MAIS and also displayed her basketball skills to the awe of many. Her calmness and pleasant countenance in the face of adversities moved the hearts of everyone. It was a lesson in rising above the challenges in life.
Ishrat will represent India's Wheel Chair Basketball Team at the Olympic Pre- Qualifying Tournament in Thailand in the month of October.
